PRESIDENT'S REPORT - Karin Caporuscio (474-1199 kacap66@yahoo.com)

Greetings everyone and welcome back! I am excited to take on the role as president with the Welcome Club! We have so many exciting things planned for our organization this year. Some of these include recipe club, scrapbooking club, "secret sister", and "MOM squad". In addition, we are bringing back the Scavenger Hunt! We will be discussing all of these activities, and more, at our September general meeting.
We will continue to support our community through our service projects and annual auction. I encourage you all to participate in these events, as well as, any activities we have within our club. We appreciate the time and effort our group leaders put into planning the monthly events.
Attached is a Volunteer Sign-Up form for this year. Please fill it out and mail it, along with your annual membership dues of $20 to our PO Box. You are also welcome to bring it to our first general meeting. Don't forget to include your email address so we can have the monthly newsletter emailed to you. We have been able to reduce our printing costs by taking advantage of this. The form for selecting charities will be included in next month's newsletter since four possible charities will be participating at this month's general meeting.
Finally, I ask you to please spread the word about our organization and invite new friends to join! Keep in mind you can invite new or existing members of Mountain Top. Once again, I am excited about the upcoming year and look forward to serving you as president!
The next board meeting will be September 6 at 7:30PM at the home of Beth LaMarca. Please email me with any topics you would like the board to discuss.

1st VICE PRESIDENT - Lisa Charton (868-0180, charton@epix.net)

Hope everybody had a wonderful summer and is looking forward to the upcoming year as much as I am. This year we are starting our meeting the same way as last, by inviting speakers to talk on behalf of their non-profit organizations so that we can choose to whom our money will go. This month we will be hearing from some of the same speakers as last year as well as some new, interesting, local non-profits. We encourage everybody to attend this meeting and listen to what these people have to say since we will be contributing money on behalf of our club.
Lunch will be provided by III Guys Restaurant and will consist of some delicious, homemade Italian fare. Since this is the first meeting of the year, please invite some friends/neighbors/family members who might not be aware of our group to attend the meeting free of charge. Look forward to seeing everybody!

It's time once again to think of the beauty of fall and all the excitement that comes along with it. School starts and the autumn colors have already begun to show signs they are around the corner. With all the new things to look forward to, we also look forward to some of the things we have enjoyed in the past.
